Resetting Your Vision And Mission For 2021

Collectively, 2020 has been perceived as a rough year.  

Many are exhausted by the massive changes an international pandemic brought us and are looking to press the “restart” button on their lives at the beginning of the New Year.

2021 is the start of another decade and for many brings a perceived “fresh start”. Many use the energy of the new year to motivate or drive the opportunity for “new beginnings”. Some people even believe that by simply turning the page of a brand new calendar you can forget the troubles, mistakes, or “should have’s” of their past and start again with a “clean slate”.  

Nevertheless, before we can build a better future we must openly identify, understand and learn from 2020’s bumpy ride. So many changes occurred in our homes, our communities, our country and other nations.  2021’s “fresh start” provides us all the opportunity to learn from unparalleled levels of anxiety, aggression, name calling, threats, isolation, cancellation and judgment and allows us to move forward with reconciliation and acceptance of the past to build a better future.

As business owners we are provided the opportunity to apply the learnings from 2020’s bumpy ride in our workplace.  Employers and employees alike experienced unparalleled levels of anxiety in 2020.  Many experienced stress regarding the continued viability of companies they owned or worked for, and what the impact would be on our their futures.

How To Make The Most From 2020 in 2021

Today, we have the opportunity to build an even better future for our team, our clients, our business and ourselves.  We can do this by answering the following questions:

  1. What are the social challenges the marketplace we serve face? What innovative solution could we provide in 2021?
  2. What are the economic challenges the marketplace we serve faces? What innovative solution could we provide in 2021?
  3. What are the political challenges the marketplace we serve faces? What innovative solution could we provide in 2021?
  4. What are the technological challenges the marketpace we serve faces? What innovative solution could we provide in 2021?
  5. What challenges has our industry and competition challenges added to the marketplace we serve?  What innovative solution could we provide that no one else in our industry or competition is, in 2021?
  6. What will inspire the people within our marketplace to want to become a part of our growing cause?
  7. What What greater value can add to my marketplace and my team?  What will create a win:win:win (ie a win for my marketplace, a win for my team and a win for myself)?

The answers to these questions will provide two critical components of the strategy for a successful 2021. Firstly, it will provide the vision for where you’re headed which will inspire everyone in your business community to enroll alongside you in achievement of your mission.

Furthermore, it will provide your business the opportunity to:

  • Serve and add more value to more people
  • Hone and master the management of the business so that it will maximise profits
  • Create an inspiring financial cause which enables us to live our position of choice lifestyle and leave a lasting legacy.
