WOW 2020; what a year.
It may have worked out for you the way you wanted or it may not have.
Irrespective, 2020 has given us all what we need. In business, I firmly believe we have either earnings or learnings. 2020 may have been a year of earnings, or it may have been a year of learnings. It may have been a great mixture of both.
For me, the end of a year and the start of another is the perfect opportunity to reflect and plan.
Last year, I shared our process for our end of financial year plan (https://kaibizzen.com.au/the-new-way-to-business-plan/). Rob and I follow this process at the end of every financial year and calendar year. We will do it again this year so we enter 2021 with the hindsight of 2020 vision.
In this blog I’ll share with you a reflection process I have been using throughout the entire year.
The benefit of doing this is it’s enabling me to use our in-depth reflection and planning process so much more easily.
In January, start the year with an empty jar.
Each week add a note with the best thing which happened to you that week.
On New Year’s Eve 2021 empty the jar and read about the amazing year you had.
I’ve just done that for my 2020 year. Here’s the things I’ve learned:
2020 year been an amazing year! My learnings have indeed been my earnings.
My reflection is enabling me to enter 2021 to make it even better, with the hindsight of my 2020 vision.
On behalf of the team at Kaibizzen, I wish for you an amazing 2021. I trust it is your best ever.
